Changeless
Beginning June 5 @ 6:15 pmSummer Gatherings Adult Teaching Series
Changeless
His Truth for My Fast-Paced Life
Beginning at 6:15pm, June 5 in the Worship Center
· I have kids at home; is it OK to miss church to go to my kids’ baseball or soccer games?
· I’m a college student; is it OK to hold back my giving in these difficult economic times?
· Our marriage isn’t working out; is it OK to explore my options through divorce?
These are just a few of the modern questions that dominate Christian culture. Many today see only the thinnest connection between how we live in our hectic world and our relationship with God. The Prophet Malachi closed the Old Testament fighting a similar lukewarm attitude among the Israelites. He cried for the people to return to the Lord of Hosts who does not change (Mal. 3:6). Join us Wednesdays this summer to hear God’s warnings thru Malachi for this fast-paced life.

Join Pastor Jeff Crook on Sunday mornings as we experience the power of God—it can only be described as AMAZING!

About The Group
The unmistakable sound of Veritas brings a fresh approach to the contemporary classical genre. Their style is fashioned from a fusion of artistic excellence, creative pursuit, and a performance that promises to inspire an audience of any distinction. Under the direction of Roger Breland, Veritas was formed under the name, Shofar. Most recently, Shofar joined the Truth 40th Anniversary Tour as the male vocal line. The group has performed on stages around the world, including a performance for the former President of the United States, George W. Bush. In the Fall of 2012, Jeff Anderson, James Berrian, Andrew Goodwin, Jordan Johnson, and Lucas Scott Lawrence began a concert tour of their own as Veritas. Each member contributes an array of training, accomplishments, and credentials, in both classical and pop music, which yields an exceptional artistic experience. This experience is the powerful sound of five male vocals, singing both new and old songs, delivering the sound of love, hope, and excellence.

Walk Through the Word
One-Year New Testament
Reading Challenge
Being a part of Blackshear Place is about life change. One way we strive for God to change us is through the daily reading of His Word. In 2013, Pastor Jeff has challenged us to join him in reading through the New Testament. We will be providing a number of ways you can be involved in this life-changing challenge.
Ways you can be involved in the Walk Through The Word one-year New Testament reading challenge.
1. Get the Walk through the Word devotional. This New Testament devotional book will guide you through daily readings and give you life-application through the devotionals by some of America’s greatest preachers.
2. Pick-up the the free New Testament reading card available at all welcome desks. We’ve taken the daily readings from the Walk through the Word devotional and made a simple checklist card for you to use.
3. Follow the weekly reading plan listed in the worship folder. Each week, the worship folder will list the New Testament selection of reading for the week. You can simply use your worship folder to follow the reading plan.
